Keiser Homes is proactive in its approach to the
evolving green home initiatives. This thought
process is nothing new to Keiser Homes as Keiser
has been involved in Energy Star, one of the
earliest standards in energy efficiency, a key
ingredient to green building for years. Today,
the global recognition of energy limits, green
house gas emission as well as a whole host of
other issues has brought green building to the
forefront of today’s building practices.
The
leading standard that is emerging within green
building standards is the US Green Building
Council (USGBC) LEEDS (Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design) program. This page is
linked to further definitions of LEEDS and
imbedded within these documents are links to the
actual LEEDS and USGBC sites.
Keiser has been involved in several Energy Star
programs as well as invested in designs ready
for implementation within the LEEDS initiative.
Any product Keiser Industries manufactures can
be optioned to different levels of LEEDS
performance levels. Past projects have shown
implementation of LEEDS certified products
within Keiser Products can cost effectively add
enough points to attain the certified level with
the modular components alone.
Keiser maintains a data base of knowledge within
the LEEDS program. Our staff can assist the
builder through design on an individual home or
a complete development design to enable the
builder to attain a level of the LEEDS
certification. Contact us through our sales
department to begin the process. To be most
effective in this green initiative, contact
Keiser Homes early in the process.
